Mr. Stanchev is a professor of Macroeconomic Anaysis and Economics of Politics at the University of Sofia and a member of the prestigious Mount Pelerin Society (www.mps.org) and the Network for Constitutional Economics and Social Philosophy (NOUS: http://nous.network/en/). He is a Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Market Economics in Sofia, to which he was a one of the founders and a long serving executive director (1993 to 2006). He is also an honorary board member of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Mr. Stanchev has a depth of experience and understanding of market economic forces and has been a principle advisor to many social and economic reforms in Bulgaria and other countries.
